Terms of service.
These are the terms under which you may use Roster Rhythm. By creating an account, installing the apps, or otherwise using the service, you agree to them.
1. Who we are
Roster Rhythm is operated by Spindlecode, LLC ("Spindlecode," "we," "us"). Contact: contact@rosterrhythm.com.
2. What Roster Rhythm is
Roster Rhythm is a team-management, scoring, live-streaming, and walk-up-music app for youth sports teams. The service includes the iOS app, the Android app, and the web app at app.rosterrhythm.com.
3. Accounts
You need a Roster Rhythm account to use the service. Accounts can be created via Sign in with Apple, Sign in with Google, or email + password. You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EU) to create an account for yourself. A parent or legal guardian may create and manage profiles for their children under 13 with verifiable parental consent, as described in the privacy policy.
You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for activity that occurs under your account.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Roster Rhythm to harass, bully, or share inappropriate content about a player, coach, parent, or anyone else.
- Upload audio, video, photo, or text content that is sexually explicit, threatening, hateful, or otherwise unlawful.
- Stream or record an event without the awareness of the people being recorded; you are responsible for honoring opt-outs from parents of minors on the team.
- Attempt to access another user's data, account, or saved content.
- Probe, scan, or reverse-engineer the service in a way that disrupts other users.
- Use Roster Rhythm to scrape data on someone else's behalf or to resell access to your account.
- Upload music or other audio you don't have the right to use as a walk-up clip.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules. For content moderation, see Section 9 (DMCA / takedowns).
5. Content you upload
You retain ownership of the rosters, scoring records, walk-up audio, live streams, photos, and other content you upload to Roster Rhythm. By uploading content you grant Spindlecode a limited, non-exclusive license to store, transmit, and display that content as necessary to run the service for you and the team you uploaded it to. We do not republish your content or share it outside your team.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to whatever you upload. If you upload a player photo, you confirm you have permission from the player's parent or guardian (or the player themselves, if 13 or older). If you upload a walk-up music clip, you confirm you have the right to use it (a personal, limited use of a commercially licensed song for team walk-up purposes; this is a legal grey area in some jurisdictions and you accept the risk).
6. Free service, no warranty
Roster Rhythm is currently provided free of charge. We may introduce paid features in the future; if we do, the paid scope and pricing will be presented clearly before you opt in. The service is provided "as is" — we don't warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available for any particular game or season. We may change, suspend, or discontinue the service or any feature at any time, though we'll give reasonable notice for any discontinuation that materially affects users.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Spindlecode is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of Roster Rhythm, including loss of content, profits, or data, missed scoring opportunities, or interrupted streams. Our total aggregate liability under these terms will not exceed one hundred US dollars ($100).
8. Termination
You can stop using Roster Rhythm at any time by uninstalling the apps or deleting your account from inside the app (Settings → Account → Delete Account) or by emailing us. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms; we'll do our best to give you notice and a chance to export your data first, except where doing so would harm other users or violate the law.
9. DMCA / copyright takedowns
If you believe content uploaded to Roster Rhythm infringes your copyright, send a written notice to dmca@rosterrhythm.com with: (a) your contact info, (b) identification of the copyrighted work, (c) the URL or identifier within Roster Rhythm you want removed, (d) a statement under penalty of perjury that you are the rights holder or authorized agent. We act on valid notices within 7 days.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to that jurisdiction.
11. Changes
If we make material changes to these terms, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top and notify signed-in users from within the app the next time they open it. Continued use of Roster Rhythm after a material change means you accept the new terms.
12. Privacy
Our handling of your data — and the special handling that applies to information about children under 13 — is described in the privacy policy, which is incorporated by reference into these terms.
